About Me

Born in a tiny village in the heart of the Black Forest, Silke Sievers now lives in the Rhineland near the Dutch border. She is married and mother of a daughter. After her apprenticeship as an industrial business management assistent she was temporarily employed in Australia, a country she travelled several times so far. After returning to Germany she deepened her knowledge of the English language by graduating first as a foreign language correspondent and afterwards as a translator. Silke Sievers is an officially approved translator and has obtained her qualifications from the Chamber of Commerce. She is a member of the Federal Association of Translatiors and Interpreters (BDÜ).
The BDÜ is Germany’s largest professional association for interpeters and translators. As the title “translator” is not protected, it can be difficult to find a qualified and conscientous language mediator. However, if a translator is a member of the BDÜ, you as a client can be sure of her qualifications and the quality of her work.
